Here I am browsing one of my favourite music sites, reverbnation.com. And what do I see but this ad from the McCain Camp. As most folks know its all bout the youth vote this election, and given the type of site Reverb is this ad is definitely aimed at youths of America. But here I ask you is this the best that camp has to offer? A vague attempt to place Obama as a supporter and ally of Anti American world leaders.
In my eyes this further drives home Obama's point of change. We need CHANGE from the standard CONservative governMENt. Their methodology has been to blind, divide and mislead. Here for example instead of presenting to the youth what they can do to change, they attack with their usual smear campaigns and mud slinging. This out of everything they could do, like announce rallies, explain there stance on terroism, the Sub Prim Mortgage Scandals, the plan on the Quagmire that is Iraq. I guess if you have no actual plans to resolve these issues then slander, lies, smear campaigns and mud slinging is the sole option.
So in response to their attack, I have an answer.
A) The youth are aware of the truth and know Obama has never said it to be unconditional so where did that even come from? I've seen ALL his comments and speaches on the issue and have missed that entirely. I instead wonder why should we not speak to our enemies, which brings the next point.
B) Is not the first steps in Democracy begin speaking and opening lines of communication, finding common ground and all that jazz with your so called enemy. To root out the cause of your conflict and create a peace for the citizens on both ends (who after all are the ones who end up dealing with the situation)
C) And If you can't meet with the enemy, how do you make a positive change in the situation?
Its obvious, the mood in this country is a want and desperate need change. We've heard the same story in different variations too often. Everyday, more eyes are opened to the truth, are yours?
